Punching with claws/gloves
red	Posted on: 2009-08-03 12:37 AM I think that if you're wielding a gun, you should NEVER punch with your gloves or claws nor should you kick with your boots. I can't remember the last time I was trying to shoot someone with a projectile weapon and accidently punched them... Same could be said for swords/daggers/maces, but at least those you could accidently hit them with your hand/claws. It would be great if this change was implemented.

So let's say you have a gun that's great for bludgeoning, but you've also got shiny hazard claws that would do more damage in a melee situation. What would you go with? Furthermore, your hands are more useful in terms of grabbing/ripping flesh/whatever. I've never actually been in a physical fight before, but I'm sure that if I had claws/gloves, I'd totally use them if I was close enough.

red	Posted on: 2009-08-04 11:34 PM You're missing my point. The point is, my claws/gloves don't NEARLY do as much damage as my gun. I don't want to claw someone for 50 damage when I can shoot them for 100 damage. I know it makes sense to start punching someone when they get in close quarters, but you should at least get an option to turn your punch/claw off.
