Man that was a scary 7 months. Being up in the turret of a humvee was cool and everything untill you realize that your entire upper body is exposed. Sure i had about 1/2 inch of steel surrounding and a nice .50 cal machine gun in my hands, but i never felt so naked before in my life, even with 50 pounds of body armor on.

I had some interesting times there. Our truck ran off a cliff twice, got blown up once, and was chasing a civilian truck through the desert going 40+ and ran into a 3 foot ditch, only thing that held me in the humvee was the makeshift seatbelt we had for the gunners.

Anywhoo i figure u guys probably want some cool Iraq war stories or what ever. Well I'm glad that i did not have to fire 1 round at all in my tour considering where our area of operation was(women and children everywhere! Even though the women cooks up c4/p4/composite B in their kitchen). So no i didnt dual wield machine guns and start blasting people while doing a combat roll off the top of a truck or what ever.

This one time we were waiting for the bomb disposal guys for some bomb we found on the road, and we had all the civilian traffic stopped. For their safety and stuff. So we blocked traffic on both sides of the road and there was a row of cars all blocked up. And the front car, i guess he must have let go of his brakes or something, rolled forward like 3 feet. And i see the tank's turret snap right onto the guy's car. The guy in the car freaks out and tries to jump out the passenger window or something, at the same time crapping his man dress hahahaha.
