| Storm | Posted on: 2007-01-03 1:17 PM Happy New Year! I trust it was a safe an enjoyable one for you and your friends. Anyone logged onto Tempus at about 2:00 a.m. EST probably saw me on. My New Year's Resolution for Tempus is to do a better job of listening to what the players want! What would you guys like to see in the future plane? What can I do to make you (and your friends!) more excited about Tempus? Is there a cool monster or item that used to load somewhere in the future but doesn't anymore? Is there a zone that you like that might be underused? Is there a way to improve a zone you already like? You can post your ideas here or mudmail them to me, and I'll be sure to read and respond. |
| frychu | Posted on: 2007-01-04 10:20 PM jawbone of lord suzerain or something....? golden cowl? OOO MJOLNIR!!!!!!!!! !!!!! !!!!! yes yes yes. i want mj back. =P |
| brywing | Posted on: 2007-01-07 1:30 AM One thing I really like is mini quests. These help keep the mud from becoming monotonous and can sometimes give a person a feeling of accomplishment upon completion. Especially with the downgrade of the difference between eq special mini quest only items can load for cool prizes. I always seem to have a million ideas for mini quests but not enough time for building... :( |
| brywing | Posted on: 2007-01-07 1:51 AM actually an awesome mini quest prize might be exp, say for example a quest requires lv 40 and gives 1m exp and a small other prize upon completion. Just as a bonus in case the person doesnt need the item. |
| Storm | Posted on: 2007-01-11 11:17 AM Anybody remember the stats on that jawbone or the cowl? It's been too long since I ever had a character that used either of those. I like the idea of miniquests, and will try to go through some of the more popular future zones and add them. Keep an eye out for new miniquests coming soon to a zone near you! I'll also add that a few of the newer future zones already have miniquests in them. Some examples: * NETWORK * Cybertech Labs * Cybertech Preparatory School Thanks for the good suggestions, everyone! |
| Crescendo | Posted on: 2007-01-11 2:49 PM mjolnir is already in game :P |
| Kyosuke | Posted on: 2007-01-12 2:12 PM Cybertech Labs seems intriguing. Don't you need like 2 Crescendos to run it, though? |
| Crescendo | Posted on: 2007-01-13 12:32 AM Labs is great fun...Eclipse is a freaking nightmare if you don't know how to deal with him, but other than that theres one main reason I don't even run it atm :P It's broken! Yeah...well not all of it, just the cybernetic beholder/stooges. :( |
| Storm | Posted on: 2007-01-13 8:43 AM I just took a stab at fixing that, and I think that these guys are at least partially working now. If anyone feels like testing it out and letting me know if they work or not, that would be awesome. Thanks! |
| Crescendo | Posted on: 2007-01-13 12:34 PM Its on like donkey kong! |
| Storm | Posted on: 2007-01-14 9:30 AM Alright, it really works now. If you enjoy killing the cyberpsychos, be sure to thank Azimuth next time you see him! |
| Lethal | Posted on: 2007-01-31 9:06 AM I know the stats on a jawbone. It was always a 3damroll light. There are still currently two 3damroll lights in tempus you can load. Don't get me wrong, it would be sweet to have Gheenna back into tempus. |

| Storm | Posted on: 2007-01-31 10:07 PM Hey folks: I made some changes to La'Mogra. It should be harder, but with the tests that I ran earlier, I'm not too sure. I'd like to find out from those of you who typically run through that zone some of the following information: 1. Is it harder, easier, or about the same? 2. Does it give more experience, less experience, or about the same? 3. If there are differences in the difficulty or the experience, do the risks match the reward? Be careful, because it could be significantly more difficult. Please mudmail me your comments, or post them here. Thanks! Storm |
| Crescendo | Posted on: 2007-02-01 9:06 AM Just taking a cursory look at it with Cresc...all I have to say is ow. I can't really say I noticed a significant increase in exp compared to the overall difficulty change. Generally, Crescendo is capable of taking on up to 10ish of those mobs at a time, whatever changed...well lets just say fighting 2 has me sweating bullets. I don't consider using Cresc even as a fair comparison though when compared to other characters. At the risk of sounding arrogant, that character is capable of some stupid stupid things, that being said, it worries me that la'mogra was made too difficult. I can't possibly imagine doing it on my ranger (I'll try later...I doubt the results are going to be pleasant). Beforehand, the exp on the mobs was more than enough to cap off a group of mid gen people working together, adding more to that seems...frivolous? Anyway I don't have time to mess around with it more at the moment...but later I will! |
| Storm | Posted on: 2007-02-01 11:55 AM Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like we may have made it a little bit too hard. I'll be sure to tweak it some more when I get home from work. There are a variety of reasons for the recent changes, which I'm about to address in a separate post. Storm |
