The &p command in aliases | |
---|---|
Red | Posted 6 Oct 2012 The &p command to mail items in a package is not working when entered using an alias. It used to work, but now it skips the & and enters it as if you just typed "p". Was there a reason this was changed? |
Merriam | Posted 6 Oct 2012 What is your alias? I made a test alias, 'mailit,' that worked like this: alias mailit mail weirhaus;&p identify;here;@ This is the output that was placed in the letter: 1] && identify 2] \here 3] \@ 4] What is your alias, and what does your letter look like? |
Red | Posted 7 Oct 2012 My alias is mail self;&p hellspike;hello;@. It types it out as 1]p hellspike 2]hello 3] |
Rauss | Posted 7 Oct 2012 that sounds like a client issue. i know on the client i use, zmud 5.55, i need to put a ~ in front of certain symbols, like &, ; , : , > because those symbols are used by the client to perform client based actions at times. maybe check yer client settings and make sure those symbols arent being used by it? |
Merriam | Posted 8 Oct 2012 I think Red's saying it was an in-game alias. Is that right? Or is it a cMUD/zMUD alias? If so, yes you must put in a ~ to accommodate special characters. |
Red | Posted 9 Oct 2012 That fixed it. The ~. Thanks! |
