Red | Posted 12 Nov 2012 -Some (or all?) implants are not applying the ACAP that it gives. I tested it with 2 items (subdermal armor plating and internal skeletal shielding), both damned with -8 armor. Both items, while implanted, give -8 to my armor class, but nothing more than that. -It seems that the skill Nanite Reconstruction does not work for the internal skeletal shieldings implanted inside of me (could be other items too). Perhaps this is paired with the bug where they do not apply the ACAP, making this/these items "non-functional" and thus not getting repaired by the skill, per the help file. -Borg skill Implant Weaponry, paired with a Negative Photon Generator, makes the implant bludgeon instead of firing off photons. When I equip hand armor (one that does not attack), it makes me "hit" even though the help file states it only works if the implant is not covered. |
Red | Posted 12 Nov 2012 Another bug just discovered: I tried remorting my half orc Cyborg as a Ranger, but it said it was not available for my race. Help file of half orc states: -Half-Orcs of the past cannot be Clerics, Mages, Knights, or Monks. -Half-Orcs of the future cannot be psionicists. Nothing in the help file on Ranger says they cannot be half orcs. So…I was forced to remort as something I do not want to be. |

Merriam | Posted 12 Nov 2012 Are you seeing the message "NOTICE: Implants not found. Nanite reconstruction halted" or "NOTICE: Implant reconstruction complete. Nanite reconstruction halted" when the internal skeletal shieldings are not being repaired? This would indicate that it believes all valid implants have been repaired. As a note, implants are repaired 1-3 points of damage per tick of nanite, which coincides with the same timing as regen/manatap/etc ticks. As a point of reference, skeletal shielding has 100x the maxdamage of subdermal armor, 300x the maxdamage of a negative photon generator. Therefore, it may appear that they are not being repaired, when in fact they are. |
Red | Posted 13 Nov 2012 I don't receive any error messages. If they do in fact have 100x and 300x the maxdamage of the other items, then that could be the reason why I don't notice them being repaired. But if they have that much durability, that must mean they're made of a very cheap material to wear down so quickly. |
Merriam | Posted 13 Nov 2012 The implant is repairing. You're just seeing issues because the maxdamage is enormous. You should have it fully repaired after about 80 hours of nanite reconstruction. I'd recommend hitting up an implanter for repair, after which nanite should keep up if you leave it active. |
