This reboot:

A huge number of small changes have been made to enhance the security and reliability of the code. Most of these should be invisible. Expect bugs, though, particularly in displays. Among the user visible fixes are:

  • Non-physic alters are properly penalized
  • Crash bug fixed when vehicle has no engine
  • Display received packages in mail once again
  • Fixed minor bug in object affect application
  • Fixed timer on mugger special
  • Added missing drink data for newer drinks

Before the reboot it took 1 chain lightning to kill a rakshasa. After the reboot it requires 2 chain lightning. Huh.

Mages are on their way…. How should I say it… Down the drain. Make a Barb, I hear they'll be able wield 3 weapons at once with passive skill called "Third Arm"

There were no intended changes to lightning bolt. We'll look and if anything is found, revert the change. Anybody else have any experiences suggesting changes other than what was in the notes?

Illith was one-shotting the rakshasa because of leveling EQ, which increased her intelligence and made for a more deadly lightning bolt. I confirmed in test (prior to the recent code changes) that someone identical to Illith's non-leveling stats takes two lightning bolts to kill a rakshasa. This confirms there were no changes to lightning bolt damage in the recent patch.

He'll take combat out altogether soon enough. The vision is an all knitting mud. A barb with "third arm" will be the most powerful class.

Some new content for established (only) players would be fun. It seemsthere is a big push to balance and improve for newbies (that aren't joining for various reasons) at the cost of our already on life support player base.

Maybe we meed more quests or end game/ongoing content.

I feel we should take care of who we have first. Then look to build player base. It seems to me that recent changes have aliened and have really reduced the joy of the game (especially if you are a mghe).
