Wouldn't it would be cool if at gen 10 you could make one trailer that would permanently be on your character, it wouldn't do anything but you could choose a cool one like "…is surrounded by floating skulls!" or "…erethral trees grow and die in her wake." or "…gives off sparks as he moves."

And, I believe Nevermore was working on tattoos which is similar to what you described. Though, I don't have any confirmation. I wouldn't hope for anything of the sort in the near future.
