Defense Ditty

The bard song Defense ditty has this description:

This song can increase the defenses against other malicious magical, mind, and science attacks for the Bard and his group. The better the Bard, the more saves and better increases the Bard can get. This song requires a wind instrument.

The song provides saves vs future attacks as well as past attacks when it's a past class? That doesn't seem to fit at all, not to mention balance issues.

I know bard has been nerfed through equipment so that might make up for this but I was just curious what was the justification for initially having a past class inherently being able to increase future class saves. It doesn't make sense to me at all when other classes only get save increases for their particular type of magic.

Yeah, and those four wittle wittle pit fiends in lvl 1 hell made you flee/die, Oh, but yer so overpowered you should be nerfed so you shouldn't have even had the chance to flee, riiiiiiiiight :P

Hey, any class would have trouble with them if they constantly got bashed over and over by them. I don't really rely on audience members unless I know exactly what I'm expecting (like Graz'zt). And I didn't die by them…ahem*DT*ahem. What I'm saying is that it doesn't matter what kind of tactics you have/use if you aren't able to stand to use them. It's like fighting 4 gen monk/borgs that are spamming hiptoss on you. Of course, now that I know what the pit fiends do, I'll play it a little differently. But you know there's always that 1st time.

4 monk/borgs, I'd use Toaster to Stun/Discharge 60 :P (hi bushido!)

Of course you'd use different Tactics now, but Tactics none the less.. I disagree that those fiends are overpowered, you happen to be playing a class/combo that sucks for pit fiends, Honestly… Tactics make a character, the Player makes the character, The player makes the Tactics that make the Character, If you want to play blind man, go walk with the shephard :P

You fled on a class that you swear needs to be turned down cause it's so overpowered, you could have asked nicely and I would have dispatched those fiends for ya with my phyz/monk, No clue about that DT, I'm not gonna say anything until I hear for sure, but, you shouldn't flee into one, there's a time and a place to screw chars, dts shouldn't be one.. I mean it isn't a roofie concernt…
