Reserve Energy | |

Deneb | Posted 4 Jun 2010 It's a suggestion for a new cyborg skill, albeit another passive one. Gen 4 or 5. It's like the reserve tanks from super metroid. The skill is a toggle and restores hitpoints equal to half of the cyborg's current mana after hitpoints drop below a certain point. Example: Let's say our cyborg has 300 mana. 'reserve 100' (toggles the cyborg's reserve energy to kick in if hitpoints were to fall in between 1 and 99) You take damage and your hp drops to 50 and immediately heal yourself with your reserve energy and end up with 200 hp. 50hp + 150reserve Note that Reserve Energy does not protect against fatal attacks. In the above example, if you had 150 hp and got beheaded for 600 damage you would just die. This should tie in well with the new reconfigure. Without something like this, I just don't see a whole lot of people typing in 'reconfigure mana'. |
Imperfect | Posted 17 Jun 2010 This should tie in well with the new reconfigure. Without something like this, I just don't see a whole lot of people typing in 'reconfigure mana'. I just don't see a whole lot of people being borg/mage or mage/borg, tho a mage/borg with mana reconfigure and mshield would be kinda disgustingly sick tank… |
Caden | Posted 17 Jun 2010 More mana can help, it depends on what you are trying to do. If I'm rolling around as a cler/borg, I could see the added value of having an extra ~350 mana to play with. That breaks down to a couple of restorations, or a restore and 18 spirital hammers, a restore 4 earthquakes 8 hammers. At some point having 100 extra mana can help more than 100 extra hitpoints. Mercury used to be physic/cyborg, I can definately see having a few hundred more mana for fission blasts to clear a room. bard/cyb could benefit from a slight diversion to mana from move. mana to move spells usually generate more numerically, 50 mana -> 130 move, so reconfigured 50 maxmove into 50 maxmana, you can generate 80 extra move or 130 total, it's an added value thing, by storing your move in the form of mana, you can later tap into it to your advantage. It depends on how efficent you need to be running, I suppose.. Reserve energy sounds like a neat idea. It'd be interesting to see how it actually plays. |
