Thief Disguise Problem
Brywing Posted 28 Feb 2014

Hi Everyone,

I was trying to use disguise on my thief and I ran into issues.

I couldn't disguise myself as any of the halflings in halfling village (and I am a halfling).

I got the message "Your body size is not similar enough to a baby halfling's", woman's, man's, guard's, ruffian's, etc, etc.

I don't have any implants or eq to alter my weight or height. I'm not sure, is there a way to distinguish the dimensions of a mob and if they match besides actually trying to disguise as?

Also is my halfling just skewed in his height and weight?

You are 2 ft, 10 in tall, and weigh 90.00 lb.

It seems a shame to have a remort skill not usable? Hell I wouldn't mind being a human if it would help me use this skill.

You're pretty short and light, yes. There also seem to be some height/weight problems. I created a halfling who was 5' 11"; then I created a human who was 5' 4". You need to be within 25% plus or minus of the targeted mob's height and weight. Perhaps a skill check of disguise plus your charisma might be fairer. Or allow more leniency with disguising but then move these charisma/height/weight to the detection check of the character seeing the victim (disguised player).

Hmm well I would love to be set to human height. More disguise options :)

Need a new item: Stilts, worn on feet, gives +100 height, -20 kick.

Why you trying to pk newbies anyway, you big meanie.
