Mercs Could really use a makeover
Gasraidh Posted 1 Mar 2004

Merc is wicked fun to play but:

We get …1 remort skill i think and even thats not that good

Most of our skills deal with guns..simple fact: Guns arent exactly the best thing to fight with ya?

I guess hammy kinda makes up for it, but from a mercenary point of view, theres not much to look forward to with remort. no super neat skills or anything. Maybe some way to make bombs or something, or lay mines shrug just an idea, i just think Merc needs some help.

I would agree that our profession is extremely "fun" to be a part of.

There are some useful guns out there. You might consider second-wielding a pistol of some sort, rather than using a two-handed gun.

I would also agree that some new skills should be developed for us, but what, I am uncertain about. I humbly submit that I have no ideas at this time, but will work on some. Presenting a problem without solutions only increases the scope of the problem.

Not being a very experienced Mercenary, I am uncertain as to how effective hamstring really is.

I am ashamed to say that my attempts to hamstring are laughable, and I miss very, very frequently. A warrior who is ineffective will soon be a dead warrior.

"Hence the saying: If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." –Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Excellent posts. I heard Mercenaries are getting a makeover… watch out! And guns were recently improved. Anybody try them out yet?
