Bushido | Posted 1 Jun 2014 It's hard to believe that 10 years after I created my first character I still come back to what is pretty much my own imagination. Tempus is a far cry from what most people consider fun. I've been made fun of more than once by people who don't understand how to play something that is all text. Tempus is a place where your imagination runs wild. A world of text can be whatever you make it. It's like a book that stats you as the main character. Most of the other people are good. You get a few bad eggs here and there but the fall by the wayside. You make this what you want. A place to socialize or a place to grind. I've taken many breaks from here but I keep coming back. |

Relic | Posted 1 Jun 2014 I was introduced to Tempus from a friend many years ago. When I first saw him playing the game in class, I couldn't understand how he could be so hooked on a game that did not have any graphical aspect or make use out of a keyboard and mouse like regular PC games do. Then I gave it a shot and I understood. The game was challenging and sometimes frustrating but fun nonetheless. I played on and off for a while enjoying the various class setups and exploring the vast zones Tempus had to offer. While I enjoyed some classes more than others, they all brought something different to the table whether you were running gold, exploring zones, or loading equipment. I think what I like most about the Mud is the ability to create my own niche in the game by developing my characters with different equipment, secondary classes, and skills. I am not sure what it is about the Mud that keeps pulling me back in but it somehow always manages to do so. Maybe it is the social aspect of the game; engaging and talking to people from different areas, joining a clan, or just grouping together exploring the mud. Either way, I have found playing Tempus to be quite an enjoyable experience that I hope continues into the future. |
