Nervegas | Posted 10 Feb 2006 Sweet! Oh yeah, sorry for being a little on the impatient side…. -Germ |
Nevermore | Posted 11 Feb 2006 C'mon people!! MUDFEST! MUDFEST! MUDFEST! |
Dyne | Posted 13 Feb 2006 Man when are yall going to put a mudfest in cajun country!? |
Nevermore | Posted 13 Feb 2006 Since there is a very low percentage of players that come from there (I can't think of any other than you), probably never. :( Unfortunately, you'll just have to fly or drive to a Mudfest. Hey! Look! There's one now! C'mon, you know you wanna come. :) |
Drom | Posted 13 Feb 2006 Dibs on floor space. |
Dyne | Posted 13 Feb 2006 I actually do wanna go this year since Im 21 but I have to see what my work is doing. If Im not working a lot or it slows down a bit I will be there to make an entrance. So I guess I will just keep you updated or something. |
Kakarot | Posted 15 Feb 2006 Yea i really wanna come to a mudfest just to see what its like and meet some ppl in person…but i will have a month old baby at that time and cant exactly pack up and leave for the weekend…but……….THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR!!!! |
Nervegas | Posted 23 Feb 2006 Come on people! Where is your sense of adventure. So you're scared about meeting new people? Never been outta your home state? Never spent the night away from your parents basement? Fear not, the great relaxer, ALCOHOL has arrived! Just take a few swigs, and your new person in the group jitters are gone. Two more swigs and your dancing the night away. I've never met anyone from this mud in real life, well except for the people I hang with. I'm super excited for this opportunity to meet new peeps. Christ I hope to forge many new friendships while I'm in Virginia! Plus even if you have a shitty ass weekend, you know you didn't pay too much for cigarettes! So come on people, grab your damn sleeping bag, blankie, favorite stuffed anime character and get your ass to MUDFEST 2006!!! WOOT WOOT! |
Brywing | Posted 25 Feb 2006 anyone live in CA? driving might be cheaper, or at least more fun :D |
Kitano | Posted 25 Feb 2006 Driving to Virginia? I think that might be a little far… |
Nevermore | Posted 26 Feb 2006 So fly. :P We have enough people coming to make a kick ass party. All else will be gravy. Everyone is still welcome to come, but those of you coming who think that there aren't enough coming, don't fret. I've had a lot of people say they are coming and excited to get to the excessive drinking and drunken tennis. We're gonna have a blast! Woohoo! |
Reverie | Posted 27 Feb 2006 I plan on being there. |
Narcissus | Posted 28 Feb 2006 I'll be there. I can also pick people up from various spots in the general area if need be. There are 3 local airports so check the prices to all 3 if you're flying. Dulles International, Baltimore-Washington International, and Regan National. There is also Grand Central Station in D.C. for those considering maybe a train or a bus. There's a fair number of things to do in the area. There isn't really an equivalent to white-trash wonderland… but maybe that's a good thing. Obviously there is D.C. if anybody is into sightseeing. There are 2 local baseball teams… maybe… the Nationals have a questionable future… The new Air & Space museum is all of 15 minutes away if anybody wants to see a Space Shuttle up close. And plenty of bars/pool halls/bowling alleys/clubs/movie theathers/car shows etc. in the area. And the beaches aren't terribly far away either. All just on the offchance more than a few people are ever sober at the same time :) |
Nevermore | Posted 5 Mar 2006 I am planning a trip to Medival Times during Mudfest. If you are unfamiliar with Medival Times, it is a dinner/entertainment deal where you go and have a "medival dinner" like meat on a stick and other good stuff and you get to watch a show of knights jousting and the have a whole storyline behind it and everything. Its a really good show and fits the theme (part of it anyway) with what we are about at Tempus. Several of us WILL be going but the place requires reservations. So if you plan to attend mudfest and would like to be included in the Medival Times journey, I will need a definite RSVP from you and there is NO BACKING OUT. I may request that a small reservation amount be sent so that Im not stuck paying your reservation backout fee (it will totally be returned to you upon meeting your reservation with Medival Times), but that will be decided on when I talk to them about it. Please let me know ASAFP if you want to attend. Check it out! |
Bushido | Posted 5 Mar 2006 Isn't Medival Times that place that Jim Carrey went to in the Cable Guy? |
Tereus | Posted 10 Mar 2006 I checked out the site. That looks really interesting. I hope I can get off of work….I wanna see that for sure. |
Tereus | Posted 11 Mar 2006 You know, since I live in PA and only about half a hour from Hershey Park….maybe I will have to host a mudfest next year. If my house is done were all going to Hershey Park! This year is going to Rock, and if I get done with my house intime, next year will be sweet. |
Caden | Posted 15 Mar 2006 Mudfest has always been cool to be at, even if i sit in a corner alone and talk to myself, or end up stepping on Conduct's neck as he's about to go to sleep cause he's been hatin' on ranger :P I'm gonna try and be there, i hope.. I call dibs on using lestat as a pillow/guard-attack animal, even despite calls of old man cat being a traitor.. -Caw |
Lovely | Posted 16 Mar 2006 I won't be able to do any drinking this time around (baby eats/drinks what I eat/drink!), but I'd love to join in some of the less alcoholic activities. We might be able to make the Medieval Times outing, depending on when it happens. And if anybody might be up for a trip to the National Zoo (in DC) I'd be happy to coordinate. It's free, and it's easy to get to if you can find the Metro. |
Nevermore | Posted 17 Mar 2006 Re: the zoo Rockin'! |
Nevermore | Posted 3 Apr 2006 Don't forget about Mudfest 2006!!! It's right around the corner! 4 months! |
Red | Posted 5 Apr 2006 4 months till Mudfest OMG!!!!!! Am I invited? |
Wish | Posted 8 Apr 2006 You know I'm there * wish |
Nervegas | Posted 18 Apr 2006 I know I can't bring a bunch of beer and such with me on the plane, I'm assuming we will be pitching in to purchase beverages? Or is there some other plan in place? |
Temptation | Posted 21 Apr 2006 Boo! Anyone still remember me? LOL…things have been CRAZY oh dear goddess are they crazy. Narc…I promise I will set things straight soon. Just never seem to get to a comp often enough. Send me your phone number again on MySpace so I can call. Raven…I miss you too! All of you crazy kids. I don't have a working email but mudmail me if you want and I will try to check it as often as I can. I miss all of you so damn much…life gets in the way. |
Narcissus | Posted 23 Apr 2006 This thing needs to come around already. Tempy, the number is sent, hope to hear from ya. Looks like alot of interest, I hope this year's turnout is better than the last one. The more the better, mudfest can be alot of fun. And anybody who might have apprehensions because they don't get along with this or that person on the mud, don't sweat it. I've seen plenty of enemies on Tempus become friends IRL. Everybody basically checks their crap at the door. |
Reverie | Posted 24 Apr 2006 Narc, you better check your ass at the door to keep me from kicking it. |
Narcissus | Posted 24 Apr 2006 Oooo you know what I like ;) |
Nothing | Posted 26 Apr 2006 I'm the only one not allowed to check my crap at the door. It's my house dammit! I hate you all! Arrrrrrggghghghgghghg! Seriously though…hope to see you all here. Bring booze! N |
Nothing | Posted 26 Apr 2006 And Narc! Fuck you man! You're right down the road and you never call or come by anymore? What the hell? I thought we were friends man! sulks off to cry in a corner N |
Nevermore | Posted 9 May 2006 Ok everyone… I need to know within the next two weeks who is DEFINITELY wanting to go to Medival Times. I need to make the reservations Also.. there is another option… Ozzfest is on August 5th at the Nissan Pavillion here. Thats about 5 miles away from us. If you guys wanted to buy your own damn ticket and we all pile up and go see that, that would be an excellent option too. One or the other, though, guys… both are a bit expensive for us poor chaps and we don't want to break ourselves. I'll make a seperate thread to vote on Medival Times or Ozzfest and if its Medival Times, I need to know who's coming. |
