Mudfest: Ozzfest or Medival Times ??? | |
---|---|
Nevermore | Posted 9 May 2006 This is the thread to vote on what you want to do on the Saturday, August 5th of Mudfest. PLEASE ONLY POST ONCE AND ONLY POST YOUR VOTE!!! Would you rather:
Keep in mind that if you want to pick option 3, that does not exclude other people from doing 1 or 2. If there is someone I trust with all of my personal belongings staying behind, anyone who wants to hang out at the house will be more than welcome to while the rest of us go do whatever we decide to do. AGAIN PLEASE ONLY POST ONCE AND ONLY POST YOUR VOTE!!! |
Drom | Posted 9 May 2006 2: At ozzfest we'll be too overwhelmed by music to realy enjoy everyone's company. Mideval Times should be a blast though. (And "on topic" no less). |
Skellington | Posted 9 May 2006 I am in for Mudfest, although the wifey cannot be there this year. If you have said, I must've missed it, but how much is dinner and the show at medieval times? I want to go regardless but was just curious about the cost. -Skelly |
Tereus | Posted 10 May 2006 I vote for 2 and 3. I'm sure Ozzfest will be a bit more costly. I will be going for sure if my friend Nuitari comes along. My car just broke down too, so as long as it's rebuilt and back on the road I'll be there. |
Wish | Posted 10 May 2006 I'm all for Medieval Times. It keeps with the Mud theme and going out to eat together would be fun. Jousting wouldn't hurt either. wish |
Nevermore | Posted 12 May 2006 Ok.. this seems pretty much consistant. Medieval Times it is. Now, I need an EMAIL CONFIRMATION of everyone who wants to go to Medival times by Friday, May 26, 2006. If you want to go, send me an email at nevermore@tempusmud.com saying that you are definitely going and how many are going in your party. Do NOT send me a "I might be coming." email. Either you are or you aren't. I am making reservations and I will not be paying for your indecision! You have 2 weeks!… Really you've had months to decide… but you've got 2 weeks left. This is going to be a really good time and I'm really excited to be doing this with all of you. MEAD AND MEAT AND VIOLENCE!! WOO! Can't wait to see everyone!! |
Nevermore | Posted 12 May 2006 Woo… even more information… When I first checked this out… the website said you HAD to call for reservations. Now they have an online reservation system… so a pox on all your houses, I ain't doin' it! You are going to want to reserve your own seating and go ahead and pay for your stuff online. Just go to www.medievaltimes.com -> Click on BUY TICKETS (its flashing at the bottom under the nice front page video) -> Click on the MARYLAND castle -> Click on the "Click here to receive your savings!" link -> Choose August 2006 from the drop down menu and click "Go" -> Then click on the Saturday, August 5th 2006 @ 7:30pm link -> then follow the prompts to order your reservations. Its very likely that we wont get all sat together, but there is a much better chance of it if we all choose the royalty package. We will be choosing the royalty package but will understand if no one else will (its only $8 more!). So, you don't need to send me an email confirmation. Just send me an email saying that you did order your reservations so that we know who is going and can plan transportation accordingly. Try to get me that email around a month before MUDfest please. And also, please dont put off the reservations til the last minute as these shows sell out pretty swiftly. Id hate to leave you behind because you took too long. Love to all! Raven |
Tereus | Posted 13 May 2006 Do you have a list of who is comming for sure? I was also wondering on how far away the medival times is away from mudfest site aka Raven's house. |
Nevermore | Posted 17 May 2006 If I wasn't working 12 hours a day 6 days a week, I'd sit down and comprise a list of everyone who has said they are definitely coming. As it is, you're SOL. :P Medieval Times is about 45 mins to an hour away from here, traffic pending. We'll be going into Baltimore for it. |
Forget | Posted 19 May 2006 Circumstances allowing, Corinth and I will be attending. I've heard tell that the original Brightblade ('Art') and the first future Architect ('Merrit') will both be local and are likely to make appearances. I'm hoping for this since I'm planning to stay with one of them. We'll be driving down from PA so there's no need to plan for airport pickup. –F |
Nevermore | Posted 28 May 2006 w00t! Its looking to be a rather nice sized bash… Glad I warned my neighbors. :) |
Reverie | Posted 6 Jun 2006 I tried to see if this info was on another thread, but I didn't see it, if this is a question that has already been answered, I'm sorry… Anyways, as far as getting a hotel, could you let us know the name of the hotel that is closest to your house so rooms can be booked? I thought it would go well in this thread along with the info that is here on booking medieval times. Anyways, thanks :) |
Nevermore | Posted 15 Jun 2006 Rev, you (like everyone else) are more than welcome to come stay with us. We'll even reserve you a spot on one of the couches if you wish. I am at work at the moment and my computer is broken to boot, but when I get a chance, I will post the names of the 3 nearest hotels to our house for anyone that isn't willing to bring a sleeping bag and camp out on a piece of carpet or couch (if you're lucky). All 3 hotels are within 1-1.2 miles of our house… well within walking distance or a hard stagger away. Its getting closer, everyone!!!!!!!!!! w00t! |
Nevermore | Posted 15 Jun 2006 Also, regarding Medieval Times. I've gotten no email confirmations so far. If I don't receive any by the 1st, I'm going to cancel our reservations. |
Nevermore | Posted 16 Jun 2006 OK… here's the info on the three closest hotels. The Residence Marriott is still being built but will probably be open come MudFest time. It says on the website that it is opening July 2006… The estimated times and distances from my house are from randmcnally.com (maps.yahoo is down and mapquest sucks even worse).
