First, I'd like to say that I really like the new changes to help keep new players, including the creation of academy, the guardian angel system, the change in the who list to show "Someone" for invis/transp people, and the protection from pkill until gen 5. I think these are all great changes/additions, and I thank the imms for deciding to put these changes in.

Now I'd like to propose a couple more changes to make Tempus even more newbie friendly. In my opinion, leveling a new mortal from scratch is one of the hardest things to do. The change from mortal to gen 1 is incredibly drastic in my opinion, and leveling becomes a lot easier. I recently made a new character in order to help a real newbie find his way around newbie tower. I showed him the training grounds, and we proceeded to kill the mobs in there. Let me also note that I instructed him to pick up all the equipment on the ground and wear it. Anyway, it probably took us a good 3 minutes of just sitting there before we finally killed the mob together. And it didn't help that the mob would tick and heal along the way. It was very frustrating to sit there for so long waiting to kill this thing with so little exp.

So, to help against this difficulty, I think it'd be really cool if we had a lot more zones that only mortals can access, that have mobs with artifically lower stats/HP and that give an artificially higher amount of exp. And in these zones, I'd like to see equipment that only mortals can wear and use (although I think this would require some new coding to be done), with artifically higher stats. I see that a possible disadvantage is that when the character remorted, they wouldn't have any equipment to wear, but I think if they are able to stay to 49, they'd be able to handle things easier with a remort class.

I don't think anyone would argue with me when I say that when the more experienced players make new characters, they usually get them power leveled and they equip them with their spare equipment. So I think a change like this would be a lot more beneficial to the real new players and would help keep them. Basically what I'm saying is I think mortal should and could be a lot easier than it is now.

well I'm back to give it another try, I like alot of the changes I've seen but one thing I keep having trouble with is becoming exhausted before I can even find anything to kill, newbie moves are rather low imho.

Or make it so that accounts that don't have any remorts get some flagged so that when they kill something they sorta bonus when awarding xp…
