I think they should make the equipments a little different because everywhere u go, u see ppl wearing the same stuff. there should be eq that are gen restricted (eg. gen 3 and above), and also, i think the term magical damroll should be added because lightning bolt always saps 320 mana out of my air elementals in gen 5 AND 6(not sure about other gens), but back to the topic, the eq should be different for everyone, because of their own personal preferations, not 'i want this eq because everyone has it'

That's really up to the individuals more than anything else. People wear so many of the same items not because they don't have other options. It's because that is the best item to wear, so why settle for less.

If magical equipment were as plentiful as silicon blades are, then you'd see alot more diversity in equipment because it would all for the most part be comparable. Nobody wants to wear the same stuff as everybody else, but more important to everybody is not to be any weaker than necessary. If that means no diversity in equipment, so be it. If all eq was basically the same.. then you'd see people making it a point to have their own equipment style just to be different.
