So I have a question about an old account I used to have. Many years ago I played this MUD, and had some higher level Characters, and an Immortal. I tried to log on today with the old account and it did not find the account name. Was there a purge of old/dated accounts? My Immortals name was Blight, and the two main characters were Mazrim and Warlord. Looking around I still some some names I recognize from the old days…..You guys still doing MudFest?

and as far as I know, mudfest doesn't happen anymore

Pwipe was at least 2003 or earlier. People were fairly well established when I started in 2003 myself.

Hi Mazrim, pwipe was in 2003. My characters have a creation date of June 2003, which should be close to the last pwipe.

Yes I was here for the 2003 pwipe, and played for a couple of years afterward. I spoke to someone and apparently my account was deactivated.

So did you regain access? I see some of your mortals exist, and your imm still appears to exist.

I did not. I was told to restart the characters.

If those names were taken Pre-Wipe then since they're popular words it's pretty likely that other people have taken the names Warlord and Blight, etc. since thousands of characters have been created since wipe.
