"Looking at this halfling, you see is so cool, and so new. He has a cool dagger and an even cooler armor. You wish you could be cool like him! stop exit exit quit end q q save Newgal seems to be about 85 cm tall, 72 pound halfling female." Perhaps TEDII could clarify that to leave the editor and save work, enter @ on a new line.

Just so you know, that doesn't matter. Tempus itself knows what your prime stats are and they'll always be higher than your other stats. It does that automatically. N |
Merriam | Posted 19 Jul 2005 Are you serious? That's awesome. Good work! Merriam |
Azimuth | Posted 19 Jul 2005 Uh, thank the circlemud coders. It's been that way from day -1. |
Infinity | Posted 19 Jul 2005 Yea it has been like that from day one. That was a great feature. However lets get some imput on the other things that Merr mentioned. Maybe if we updated the tempus home page and when you log on the game it tell you to read about the races and classes to help you choose a race/class. Could be some message like this: Welcome to tempusmud. Please visit the homepage for information on getting started. www.tempusmud.com Anyway after it is updated. We should almost have someone in charge of changing that all the time, hence all the changes. |
Merriam | Posted 22 Jul 2005 A new character today, who was rather compotent and level 9 in just a short while (he had MUDded before) commented that it took him a long time to get connected because he did not understand whether or not his account name would be the name he would play by. Perhaps after a player selects "new" it could explain the account system, the account name, and that character name would be chosen in the next step. Merriam |
